About the event

This course is designed to provide police officers with the next step in human trafficking will be easier if the student has already taken the human trafficking interdiction course. This class will teach the skills needed to take your case to prosecution.  Students will learn:

  • How to recognize the indicators of a possible human trafficking incident

  • How to identify and secure evidence of trafficking for prosecution

  • How to communicate with a possible trafficking victim

  • Evidence from the vehicle, phone, hotels, escort ads, the person

  • How to document all the evidence for a trafficking prosecution

  • How gather evidence for money laundering

  • How to locate and seize assets associated with trafficking

  • What the various multi-disciplinary groups are, how to use them and how to work with victim advocates

  • Working with a trafficking victim during the trial

Audience: Law enforcement, intelligence analysts, advocates, licensing, probation, CPS
