About the event

Human Trafficking for Prosecutors is designed to provide prosecutors with essential tools to build successful cases through to prosecution.

As with law enforcement and the medical profession, prosecutors do not get skills-based human trafficking training. This unfortunately results in cases not being brought against traffickers that otherwise could be. We have developed a human trafficking training specifically for prosecutors, in conjunction with and taught by prosecutors highly experienced in human trafficking cases, that bridges our world class police investigative experience with prosecutions to build highly successful cases.

This class will provide prosecutors with the necessary skills to identify trafficking, understand how law enforcement should investigate human trafficking (and how properly trained law enforcement will investigate trafficking), and how to best move forward with a prosecution for human trafficking and other related crimes.

It is taught by law enforcement and prosecutors who have investigated and prosecuted many human trafficking cases to help attendees learn how to navigate the peculiarities of these sensitive cases and prosecute them effectively.

Like most of our other classes, this is an 8-hour class (about 2 hours taught by law enforcement and the remainder by prosecutors).

Audience: Prosecutors
