Illicit Massage Business Investigations

This is a single day IMB class for those who have previously taken HTTC's Interdiction course. Audience: Active Law Enforcement, Forensic Interviewers, Nurses, Prosecutors, CPS and Human Trafficking Advocates.

This course is designed to provide law enforcement and other multidisciplinary team members a comprehensive understanding of IMBs, how to investigate them and conduct operations for fast results -- traffickers arrested, victims provided assistance and criminal assets seized. Most techniques, including those used by federal agencies, are too slow and too time consuming to be effective at halting this criminal activity.

Among many other things, attendees will learn:

• The Four Corner Strategy(TM) to dismantling IMBs fast

• How to ascertain if a party is a victim of trafficking and best practices for interactions

• How to effectively use a victim centered approach

• How to identify the best evidence to build a successful trafficking case against IMBs

• To identify the key players in this sophisticated criminal enterprise in order to make appropriate cases against them

• What the various multi-disciplinary groups are, how to use them and how to work with victim advocates
